On the outside, the new Lafayette Miami positions itself as an upscale American steakhouse, but you’ll realize it’s so much more once you’re inside. From the opulent, vintage interiors designed by Carlos Rodriguez to the grandest wine room we’ve seen in Miami, there’s so much history and culture weaved into this Brickell hotspot it’s hard to look away. Mathieu Massa, owner and founder of Mr. Hospitality Miami, wasn’t lying when he said they created an atmosphere where “every detail exudes the opulence of a bygone era.” Guests can find cozy corners and private nooks for secluded dining, while a grand piano on the main floor adds old-world charm. Lafayette’s luxurious blend of rich fabrics, ambient lighting, and a mix of vintage and modern design creates an atmosphere where mystery intertwines with desire.

You’ll find hand-selected meats on the menu sourced exclusively from America’s finest family-owned farms and delicately prepared by French chef Kylian Goussot. While the steaks are the main event, there’s plenty of other deliciousness, like Baeri caviar-topped deviled eggs and black truffle and lime creamed corn with 24-month-aged Parmesan. Save room for the decadent New York–style cheesecake for two, dazzling with red berry compote and a vanilla chantilly. And for those nostalgic for the former El Tucán space, the original chandelier still graces the private dining table on the first floor, keeping a piece of Miami’s past alive in this luxurious new steakhouse.

Lafayette Miami is located at 1111 SW First Ave., Miami, FL 33130. For more information, please visit their official website

Tap

If you’re a fan of traditional Brazilian cheese bread, or pão de queijo, you must check out Tap in Brickell. With flavors like traditional, pesto, and spicy, these cheesy bites are easily some of the best we’ve sampled, boasting a soft texture and naturally gooey inside. The new Brickell Tap, which stands for tapioca sandwiches, açaí bowls, and pão de queijo, marks the first location in the U.S. outside New York City. Enjoy 100% gluten-free egg wraps, paninis, smoothies, juices, and Brazilian-sourced coffee. And, of course, you can’t miss the açaí—the beloved Brazilian superfruit that’s become a cultural icon. Our top pick is the Samba bowl, made with organic açaí, homemade vegan granola, passion fruit, and mango. If you’ve never sampled Brazilian flavors, consider this your sign to dive in.

Tap is located at 1250 S. Miami Ave., Ste. 105, Miami, FL 33130. For more information, please visit their official website

Little Niko Pizzeria & Gelateria, now open on Española Way in Miami Beach, offers a fresh take on Italian classics with a modern twist. Created by Charissa Davidovici, the visionary behind Sugar Factory, the restaurant brings the cozy charm of a Little Italy trattoria—perfect for gathering with friends and family. The menu shines with hand-crafted pizzas like hot honey pepperoni, classic margherita, “The Nikos,” and vodka pizza, alongside homemade pasta favorites such as rigatoni piccanti alla vodka and bucatini alla carbonara. Don’t miss the grand finale: the “Citrus Tree” dessert, a show-stopping medley of Florida orange, Key lime, and lemon flavors.

Little Niko Pizzeria & Gelateria is located at 1444 Drexel Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, please visit their official website

Pisco Y Nazca

This beloved Peruvian gem has landed in Coral Gables, bringing a vibrant blend of tradition and innovation, and we couldn’t be happier. Choose from classic menu items, like the quinoa cevichada, where ahi tuna meets a sweet potato puree, and the show-stopping volcano roll, a sushi delight draped in a lomo glaze. The chilcano de pescado—a soulful fisherman’s soup—is another must-try, as is the shareable plancha anticuchera platter. It’s a fresh, flavorful journey through the best of Peruvian cuisine. The best part? Pisco y Nazca hosts happy hour seven days a week, so you can cool off with a classic pisco sour or opt for a chicana, a fizzy, refreshing, citrusy pisco cocktail.

Pisco Y Nazca is located at 101 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134. For more information, please visit their official website
