Tuesday, September 10: Taco Tuesday at Bar Tulio’s

What to Do in Miami This Week [Sep 9-15] - Bar Tulio's, Ironside Pizza, Kissaki, Phuc Yea, weekly - September 2024

If you haven’t guessed by now, we’re absolutely obsessed with the newly opened Bar Tulio’s. An absolute gem of Mexican food and bomb specials, you can find us here almost every day of the week. On Tuesdays, Bar Tulio’s has their Taco Tuesday special, which is where diners can get $1 off all tacos, $6 Mexican beers, and $10 Patron Silver shots.

If you want to be a lil fancy like us, then go for Tulio’s specialties like the chilled lobster taco with corn salsa or the short rib birria with plenty of melted cheese and a bowl of consomme for dipping on the side. Want to keep things a little more affordable? Then you can’t go wrong with the spicy chorizo tacos or the spicy ground beef tacos with bacon and pico de gallo. Vegetarians can enjoy cauliflower tacos with avocado sauce or roasted portobello tacos with refried black beans. As for the beer, we’re going with the Dos Equis lager to wash it all down.

Thursday, September 12: Miami Spice Lunch at Ironside Pizza

What to Do in Miami This Week [Sep 9-15] - Bar Tulio's, Ironside Pizza, Kissaki, Phuc Yea, weekly - September 2024

If you haven’t been to Ironside Pizza to try their Miami Spice menu yet, we recommend getting on it ASAP. Our favorite Neapolitan wood-fired pizza joint rolled out a Miami Spice menu that’s not to be missed, and there are only a few weeks left to try it.

Known for sourcing the best Italian flour, local veggies, and firing up pies in an oven powered by Florida pine, Ironside Pizza is all about the best quality Neapolitan cuisine. The lunch menu is one of the best Miami Spice deals in town, going for $30, and as always comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Our pick: the polpette to start, classic housemade meatballs in a flavorful San Marzano tomato sauce. If it’s your first time here, we recommend going for the classic entree — the pizza Margherita made with mozzarella fior di latte. And for dessert, one of the city’s best tiramisus.

Friday, September 13: Miami Spice Omakase at Kissaki

What to Do in Miami This Week [Sep 9-15] - Bar Tulio's, Ironside Pizza, Kissaki, Phuc Yea, weekly - September 2024

One of our go-to omakase destinations is offering us Miami foodies something extra special for the final month of Miami Spice. Have you ever had Miami Spice omakase? Neither have we. This month, Kissaki is making it possible. For only $60, diners can indulge in an exclusive 11-course experience,  complete with a glass of house sake.

The omakase menu features a crispy fish appetizer, miso soup, and an 8-piece nigiri platter with standout creations like soy truffle-brushed salmon, madai with pickled plum, and chu toro topped with black caviar. A chef’s dessert adds the perfect finish. This is their first time participating in Miami Spice, offering a refined yet approachable dining experience in a sleek, contemporary setting. We couldn’t be happier.

Sunday, September 15: Let’s Eat Cake Birthday Toast at Phuc Yea

What to Do in Miami This Week [Sep 9-15] - Bar Tulio's, Ironside Pizza, Kissaki, Phuc Yea, weekly - September 2024

This month, Phuc Yea, 305’s favorite modern Vietnamese joint, turns 8, and they’re going all out with a month-long bash to celebrate the wild ride. What began as a daring pop-up back on September 1, 2011, has transformed into a full-blown culinary powerhouse that’s been shaking up the scene ever since.

This Sunday, Phuc Yea will be popping bottles, serving cake, and cranking up the party with a live DJ. Don’t miss the restaurant’s now-infamous Sancocho Pho and a pop-up boutique for a perfect Sunday vibe.

Phuc Yea is located at 7100 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official website.
