Get ready, Miami. On March 10, Uchiko—the bold, smoky sibling of the beloved Uchi—is making its debut in Sunset Harbour. Helmed by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole, this Texas-born concept is all about char, smoke, and serious flavor. Dive into their ten-course omakase or opt for the personalized Somakase, where chefs tailor the experience just for you. Standout dishes include the hearth-roasted lobster bathed in umeboshi butter and the melt-in-your-mouth 4x Seared NY Strip Wagyu. Oh my.
Expect a moody yet chic vibe, blending Japanese deco elegance with Miami’s tropical brutalism. Picture sea-green marble mosaics, a glowing glass block bar, and a lush patio for cozy escapes. Whether you’re craving inventive small plates, expertly crafted nigiri, or cocktails that hit just right, Uchiko is the spot to ignite your week.
Uchiko is located at 1759 Purdy Ave Ste 102, Miami, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.
Wednesday, March 12: Neapolitan Dinner at Ironside Pizza

We’ve waxed poetic about our love for the wood-fired, 48-hour fermented Neapolitan-style pizza over at Ironside Pizza plenty. Truth be told, we often find ourselves over in their lush green garden, digging into a piping hot slice. This time around, we’re coming for the rest of the delicacies. Insalate, pasta, panini, secondi piatti… we love it all.
But first — sangria. Now that we’ve got a cool glass in hand, let’s go through our favorite offerings. We’re definitely starting with the restaurant’s must-have item: the polpette (house-made meatballs) swimming in velvety San Marzano tomato sauce. We don’t shy from the caprese either—featuring the most perfect, creamy artisan burrata with beefsteak tomatoes and aromatic basil. As for the protein, find us indulging in the mortadella & pesto panini served on fresh-baked artisan bread. Perfetto.
Friday, March 14: Date Night at Paperfish Sushi
![What to Do in Miami This Week [March 10-16] What to Do in Miami This Week [March 10-16] - Elia on the River, Ironside Pizza, PaperFish Sushi Bar, Uchiko, weekly - March 2025](https://d2oo148e63yl1b.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/paperfish_sushi_omakase_-819x1024.jpg)
If your Friday date night plans are lacking that wow factor, Paperfish Sushi is here to fix that. Slide through the fiery-red tori gates and let the Tokyo-meets-Miami izakaya take over.
For an unforgettable date night, go all-in on the Deluxe Assortment Platter—a curated feast that’s pure gold. We’re talking Nikkei ceviche with tuna and watermelon; melt-in-your-mouth Tiradito Apasionado with salmon and passionfruit; plus eight pieces each of chef’s choice signature nigiri and sashimi. Oh, and let’s not forget the signature maki to round it all out. Pair it with One Night in Tokyo (Hennessy VS, Choya Umeshu, and Sweet Vermouth) to make the night truly remarkable.
Saturday, March 15: National Espresso Martini Day at Elia on the River

This week, Elia on the River is turning up the charm. On March 15, celebrate National Espresso Martini Day with a special espresso martini for just $10 during Sunset Hour running from 3 to 6 p.m. Picture this: sipping a velvety espresso martini as the sun dips below the Miami River, painting the sky in shades of gold. Pure bliss.
And trust, you’re going to need that espresso martini. ‘Cause come Saturday, Elia dials up the vibe with Kiara Fernandez serenading guests on violin starting at 8 p.m., followed by beats from DJ Hattat that’ll have you dancing riverside all through the night. Elia’s mix of Mediterranean flavors, chic vibes, and waterfront magic makes it the spot to hit this week. Don’t miss it.
